The Book of Boba Fett Disney+

After Mandalorian I had very high hopes about The Book of Boba Fett and – SPOILERS – Boba was portrayed such a badass in it, how could you not? – END OF SPOILERS – The thing is… The main character should not be hidden behind other characters. Not when he has been established as something very great and that is the biggest area where the series fail. That doesn’t mean that the other characters were not great, but they were made to shine more than the main “hero”. And the background story for Boba was great, They should have dwelled more on it.

Needless to say, the cast in total is very good. We have already known about most of them before, so that is not a surprise. Temuera is so good as Boba Fett, that you root for him and hope that they reward him for his efforts. TBOBF should have been grittier with some comedy, but somehow that was turned upside down. The Cinematography and sceneries were beautiful and the music was as great as in the Mandalorian. I liked the more tribal beats it had.

The special effects were mostly nothing special, but when they were great, they were marvelous. On what parts would be a very big spoiler, but if you watch the series, you will know. Like with Mandalorian, the shooting technique works really well on it. There is also few issues about the action scenes. They are again too slow. Directors should have taken notes from Shang-Chi about the action and fight choreography, because now both of them, seemed like they were played by 100 year old grand pas. Same thing appeared later in Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the end, I did like the series, because of the same reason as I like other Star Wars productions. They deepen its world.

Mandalorianin jälkeen minulla oli erittäin suuria toiveita The Book of Boba Fett -sarjasta ja – SPOILERI – Boba oli esitetty niin kovanaamana siinä, niin tietysti odotukset olivat suuret? – SPOILERIN LOPPU – Tosiasia on, että päähenkilöä ei pidä piilottaa muiden hahmojen taakse. Varsinkin silloin, kun hänet on esitelty jo niin hyvin. Tämä on suurin osa-alue, jossa sarja epäonnistuu. Se ei kuitenkaan tarkoita, että muut hahmot eivät olisi olleet mahtavia, mutta ne loistivat enemmän kuin pää “sankari”. Ja Boban taustatarina oli loistava. Heidän olisi pitänyt keskittyä siihen enemmän.

Sanomattakin on selvää, että kaikki näyttelijät ovat erittäin hyviä. Olemme tunteneet useimmat heistä jo aiemmin, joten se ei ole mikään yllätys. Temuera esittää erittäin hyvin Boba Fettia, että haluat tukea häntä ja toivot, että hänet palkittaisiin ponnisteluistaan. TOBF:n olisi pitänyt olla särmikkäämpi komedialla höystettynä, mutta jotenkin kaikki kääntyi ylösalaisin. Kuvaus ja maisemat olivat kauniita ja musiikki oli yhtä upeaa kuin Mandalorianissa. Pidin siitä, että kappaleissa oli enemmän heimotempoa.

Erikoistehosteet eivät olleet suurimmaksi osaksi erikoisia, mutta mahtavina, ne olivat upeita. Kyseessä olevat kohtaukset olisivat suuri spoileri, mutta jos vilkaiset sarjaa, tiedät mistä puhun. Kuten Mandalorianissa, kuvaustekniikka toimii sarjassa todella hyvin. Toimintakohtauksissa sen sijaan on taas ongelmia. Ne ovat liian hitaita kuten Kenobissakin. Ohjaajien olisi pitänyt tehdä muistiinpanoja Shang-Chi-elokuvan toiminta- ja taistelukoreografioista, koska nyt molemmat näyttivät olevan 100-vuotiaiden pappojen esittämiä. Sama asia esiintyi myöhemmin Obi-Wan Kenobissa. Loppujen lopuksi pidin kuitenkin sarjasta samasta syystä kuin muistakin Star Wars tuotannoista. Ne syventävät sen maailmaa.
